DLR Community Ambassadors are on hand to help you use your railway. The Ambassadors work in your community to help you get around on the DLR. They are fluent in a variety of languages: Bengali, Yoruba, Urhobo, Hindi, Urdu, Sylheti, to name a few.
Using these skills they:
- Give you free training on fares and ticketing, showing you how to use the ticket vending machines and talk you through Oyster.
- Can take you out on a DLR Accessibility Trip to show you how to use the railway. This is useful for those passengers that use a wheelchair, scooter, walking stick and buggies. Your Ambassador will show you how easy it is to travel on DLR trains.
- Hold Open Days at your local supermarket or community centre where you can approach them for DLR information and travel advice.
