Kids Day Out

Museum in Docklands - West India Quay DLR
Greenwich Park & The Observatory - Cutty Sark DLR
Discover - Stratford DLR

Itineraries - Kids Day OutStart your day at West India Quay.

Here you can explore Docklands' past and present with the Museum in Docklands - where kids go free! From Roman settlement to Docklands’ regeneration, this former sugar warehouse reveals the long history of London as a port through stories of trade, migration and commerce.

On your way out, try your best to take in the towering skyscrapers of Canary Wharf, built on the site of the West India Docks on the Isle of Dogs. In 1802, the area was one of the busiest docks in the world.

Travel to the gorgeous Greenwich Park that includes over 5,000 acres of historic parkland in the heart of the capital. See the rowing boat pond, deer and ducks and don't forget to visit where time began at The Observatory, followed by a stroll to the top of the park for a fantastic view over London.

Step back onto the train and make sure you grab the front seat for a roller-coaster-like ride heading north to Stratford!

Once you have reached Discover you can spend the afternoon story building, dressing up, making puppets and letting your imagination run free, before taking the kids home tired, happy and dreaming of their Docklands day.
