East London will be in the world’s spotlight this July to September, when millions of people will visit to attend the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. To celebrate, DLR London is working with schools and parents to educate children and help them to welcome people from different countries to the capital.
DLR has created a worksheet where you will find example phrases that teach students the basics of four different languages - French, German, Italian and Spanish. These phrases allow children to learn some simple greetings, as well as providing the basic building blocks of pronunciation.
We encourage you to utilise this worksheet for educational purposes, as we work together to welcome people of the world to East London this summer.
