Start your day at Tower Gateway.
Make your way to the magical open-air ice rink at Tower of London for a perfect morning of family fun. Soar over the ice and get into the Christmas spirit at the spectacularly lit magical setting of fortress battlements.
After dancing on ice, head east on the DLR to Stratford and literally ‘become part of the scene’ in Central Square at the truly wonderful Winter Wonderland. Step inside a Giant Snow Globe for free and receive a treasured photograph that you can take away. You might even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Giant Polar Bear making an appearance on Saturday 17th December.
Why not take a well-earned lunch break at Stratford’s Westfield Shopping Centre? From Caribbean at Rhythm Kitchen, to the more traditional British grub at Banger Bros, there will be something to satisfy everyone’s taste buds. Before continuing on with your exciting day, you could pick up some gifts at a selection of over 300 stores offering fashion, food, home wares and much more.
Jump back on the DLR and head to West India Quay to watch your little ones faces light up at the rather traditional Victorian Santa’s Grotto at Museum of London Docklands. Dress up, tell Father Christmas your Christmas wishes and even receive a special present before the big day itself.
Finish in Greenwich by watching Aladdin at the Greenwich Theatre, showing until Sunday 8th January. Boo the villain, clap the genie and tell Aladdin ‘it’s behind you!’ in this magical, musical pantomime for all the family. With plenty of romance, comedy and drama, Aladdin is surely set to be a highlight of the festive season.
