Preparations for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and construction of the Crossrail link mean planned engineering works will continue throughout the year.
DLR works will include upgrades to the signalling control system across the entire network, as well as replacing the track between Westferry and Bank/Tower Gateway. This work will provide more reliable and modern equipment for the long term, which will also help deliver efficient services during the 2012 Games and beyond.
Closures are required for the new track and control system to be installed and tested; both will be fully operational in the New Year.
